Instruction 1–4는 전시 공간에서 흔히 부차적으로 여겨지는 지시문과 안내문을 감상의 중심 요소로 삼는다. 관객은 이 안내 사인들을 돋보기를 통해 들여다보는 행위를 수행하게 되며, 이 과정을 통해 관람을 구성하는 제도적 조건들—행위, 시선, 위치—이 가시화된다.
우리가 일상적으로 마주하는 다양한 지시문과 안내문은 단순한 정보 전달을 넘어, 우리의 감각과 행위를 설계하고 조율하는 통제 장치로 작동한다. 이 작업은 그러한 ‘지시’의 언어와 형식을 예술적 대상으로 전환함으로써, 관객의 시선과 행위가 어떻게 구성되고 제한되는지를 드러낸다.

Visitors examine these signs through a magnifying glass, making visible the institutional conditions that shape viewing, such as gaze, behavior, and spatial positioning. The work transforms the language of instruction into art, revealing how our senses and actions are shaped and controlled.
